Hello peeps the reunion will be held as a Barbecue! We're estimating the number of people attending to be 20-25 people. Please tag ur name on the TB or respond to the organizers whether or not u're going.Please bring along extra cash for the event! More details will be updated next week!

JAE POSTING RESULTS OUT ON 19TH FEB 2008.

WHEN AND HOW WILL I KNOW WHERE I HAVE BEEN POSTED TO?

The posting results of your application will be released about 3 weeks after the JAE registration period through the following modes:

Form D (Notification of Posting Results) will be sent to all applicants by mail;
JAE IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) at telephone number 6691-2131;
JAE-IS; and
Short Messaging System (SMS) via applicant's mobile number (if available)
WHAT MUST I DO AFTER RECEIVING THE POSTING RESULTS?

For JCs/MI
- Students who are offered a course in a JC/MI must report to the JC/MI on the date stipulated in the JAE-IS or Form D. Generally this will be the next working day following the release of the posting results.
For Poly/ITE
Students who have been offered a course in a Poly or ITE should expect to receive an enrolment package/posting letter by post after the official release of the JAE posting results. Students are required to enrol at the Poly or ITE on the date stated in the package/letter.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN'T GET A PLACE IN ANY 12 OF MY CHOICES?

Students who had indicated a JC or MI course as their first choice and were unsuccessful in getting a place in any of their registered choices will be manually posted to a JC or MI with vacancies at the end of the exercise.

Students who had indicated a polytechnic course above the JC or MI course and were unsuccessful in getting a place in any of their registered choices will not be posted. Those who wish to apply for a transfer to a course in a Poly or ITE should approach the respective institution directly within 2 working days after the official release of the posting results. You may also go to www.polytechnic.edu.sg for appeal to Polys or www.ite.edu.sg for appeal to ITE. The outcome of any such application will be provided by the Poly or ITE directly.

HOW CAN I APPEAL TO BE TRANSFERRED?

Students may appeal for a transfer to another course or institution only after the release of the JAE posting results.

Students who wish to appeal for a transfer to a particular JC/MI should approach the Principal of the JC/MI directly. The outcome of any such application will be provided by the JC/MI directly.

Students who wish to appeal for a transfer to a course in a Poly or ITE should approach the institution directly within 2 working days after the official release of the posting results. You may also go to www.polytechnic.edu.sg for appeal to Polys or www.ite.edu.sg for appeal to ITE. The outcome of any such application will be provided by the Poly or ITE directly.
You should not rely on the appeal process to enter an institution or course of your choice. Appeals are evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the institution you have approached, and maybe granted only when compelling reasons are presented and vacancies are available

Hi guys,
Is singlish allowed???(Mdm Rogayah spare me!)Anyway, I'm so happy!
Yeah! Hope everybody is getting on with life in a positive manner!(is it correct to phrase it this way)
Actually, I just wanted to let you all know that JC life isn't that scary after all! Especially to those who likes Miss Faizah's way of teaching(ahem!e.g.me) Most of the lecturers are like her EXCEPT for some(depends on which JC you go to,for me it's Serangoon same as her as well)
I think all those horror stories about JC life is REAL,(sadly) but with better time management and self0discipline, the JC path is definitely better than the Poly route! GP sounds intimidating but it is not! It's like Human Geography plus Current Affairs plus English plus Economics plus effort!!!! That's what Times and Newsweeks magazines are for.(so if you find those magazines interesting do consider JC)
Mathematics can be only done at H1 for our class(we do not take Add Maths) It's really fun! I enjoyed doing my friend's H2 Maths actually.
We can only take Chemistry at H2 and the rest at H1(again we are not pure science students)
I've not attended lectures yet so I don't really know how it's like,but the Bio lecturer was a joker! Physics lovers will not be able to do H2 Phy as we do not take Add Maths(I cried because I couldn't take Phy)
Geography is available for all except RUSYDI, and people who fail Geog(appeal if you really want)that's for H2 Geog. And different JCs sent you for field trips to different countries.
History is also available for all! Just get L1R5 20 and below
Economics is also the same as History.
For students whose Mother tongue grades are A1-2 Distinction, you may opt for Mother tongue and Lit if the JC offers it as a H2 subject
Literature can only be taken at H1(for my school,I'll check if any of you are interested)
I'm getting wordy! And I don't know who will be reading this valuable information! I'm trying to sell the JC path! And school rules are much more relaxed in JC because it's self discipline they're looking for(no detentions, just get lost!)
Girls! Vain Boys! Going to a poly would mean wasting time on dolling yourselves up! Be like me! Wear school uniform! Sing the National Anthem everyday! Say the pledge! That's cool!
I strongly encourage all of you to consider the JC path when our results are out! However, if you are not at all interested then I can't force you! JC life is fun!College dance would be enjoyable!!!
