Yeah! Hope everybody is getting on with life in a positive manner!(is it correct to phrase it this way)
Actually, I just wanted to let you all know that JC life isn't that scary after all! Especially to those who likes Miss Faizah's way of teaching(ahem!e.g.me) Most of the lecturers are like her EXCEPT for some(depends on which JC you go to,for me it's Serangoon same as her as well)
I think all those horror stories about JC life is REAL,(sadly) but with better time management and self0discipline, the JC path is definitely better than the Poly route! GP sounds intimidating but it is not! It's like Human Geography plus Current Affairs plus English plus Economics plus effort!!!! That's what Times and Newsweeks magazines are for.(so if you find those magazines interesting do consider JC)
Mathematics can be only done at H1 for our class(we do not take Add Maths) It's really fun! I enjoyed doing my friend's H2 Maths actually.
We can only take Chemistry at H2 and the rest at H1(again we are not pure science students)
I've not attended lectures yet so I don't really know how it's like,but the Bio lecturer was a joker! Physics lovers will not be able to do H2 Phy as we do not take Add Maths(I cried because I couldn't take Phy)
Geography is available for all except RUSYDI, and people who fail Geog(appeal if you really want)that's for H2 Geog. And different JCs sent you for field trips to different countries.
History is also available for all! Just get L1R5 20 and below
Economics is also the same as History.
For students whose Mother tongue grades are A1-2 Distinction, you may opt for Mother tongue and Lit if the JC offers it as a H2 subject
Literature can only be taken at H1(for my school,I'll check if any of you are interested)
I'm getting wordy! And I don't know who will be reading this valuable information! I'm trying to sell the JC path! And school rules are much more relaxed in JC because it's self discipline they're looking for(no detentions, just get lost!)
Girls! Vain Boys! Going to a poly would mean wasting time on dolling yourselves up! Be like me! Wear school uniform! Sing the National Anthem everyday! Say the pledge! That's cool!
I strongly encourage all of you to consider the JC path when our results are out! However, if you are not at all interested then I can't force you! JC life is fun!College dance would be enjoyable!!!
